So, Who Exactly Is Bill Pulte?

Trump announced that Bill Pulte has been nominated to be FHFA Director.

With the position becoming vacant on 1/20/25, Pulte will be able to assume his position upon Senate confirmation. Until then, the position can be temporarily filled by someone outside FHFA who has previously been confirmed by the Senate, or by someone currently inside FHFA.

I previously wrote that Trump Gets Treasury Right. Scott Bessent will soon be confirmed by the Senate, and I believe he will be an excellent Treasury Secretary, both generally and for purposes of the expected GSE recap/release.

Now let’s turn our attention to Bill Pulte.
